Centre Square Musical Theatre Troupe
Fall 2019 Musical Theatre Troupe
Centre Square’s new Musical Theatre Troupe (MT^2) is a select group of students displaying excellence in the performing arts. MT^2 provides students with training in musical theatre performance through rehearsals involving vocal, acting, and dance technique.
This semester, members of MT^2 will learn and perform song selections from Junie B. Jones The Musical. Class meetings will serve as rehearsals for music, staging, and choreography. A strong emphasis will be placed on singing and musicality, as our end-of-semester performance will exclusively feature a musical performance.
Troupe membership will be determined by audition only (see audition details).

What should I prepare?
Students wishing to audition should prepare a 16-bar cut (30-60 seconds) of a musical theatre song to be performed with a digital instrumental backing track (this can be on their phone, found online on YouTube, etc.). Students should choose one of the two audition dates and arrive promptly with a link to their instrumental track readily available. Members will be selected competitively, so a high level of preparedness will be crucial for a successful audition.
Any questions should be directed to Josiah Howlett, Education Director of Kentucky Classic Arts at Centre Square. Contact Josiah via email at email@example.com.
